At The Lodge of Amity, charitable giving is more than a tradition-it is a cornerstone of who we are. Since our foundation in 1784, we have actively supported a wide range of charitable causes, from local community initiatives to national appeals. Over the years, our members have raised substantial funds to help improve lives, support disaster relief efforts, and assist organisations that make a tangible difference in the world. Whether it’s through fundraising dinners, sponsored events, or direct donations, our Lodge continually strives to leave a lasting positive impact on society.

We believe that charity extends beyond monetary donations; it is about the time, effort, and care we dedicate to others. Every project we undertake reflects the values of Freemasonry-kindness, generosity, and a commitment to the greater good. Being part of The Lodge of Amity means being part of something bigger, where your contributions have real, far-reaching effects.

      Building Connections

Charity is not just about giving; it’s about building relationships. At The Lodge of Amity, our fundraising efforts are as much about bringing people together as they are about supporting worthy causes. Through these events, our members forge deep and lasting connections, united by a shared purpose and a commitment to serving others. From organising charity auctions to hosting community open days, each initiative strengthens the bonds of friendship among members while fostering a sense of unity and collaboration.

For prospective Freemasons, these events offer a unique opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, develop leadership skills, and be part of a supportive environment where everyone works towards common goals. Charity is the bridge that connects us not only to each other but also to the wider community, creating a network of support and shared understanding.

      Your Role in Our Legacy

Joining The Lodge of Amity means stepping into a rich tradition of charitable service that spans more than two centuries. As a member, you will play a vital role in continuing this proud legacy. Whether it’s helping to organise an event, contributing to a major fundraising campaign, or volunteering your time for community projects, your efforts will directly impact those in need.

For prospective members, this is your chance to be part of something meaningful. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in activities that not only help others but also enrich your own life. Charity is at the heart of Freemasonry, and at The Lodge of Amity, we ensure that every member feels the satisfaction of making a difference.
